Bungalow No. 5 at Lutyens’ Delhi: Arvind Kejriwal’s new home

AAP National Convener Arvind Kejriwal will vacate the Chief Minister’s residence and relocate to bungalow number 5, Ferozshah Road near Mandi House, which is currently allotted to AAP Rajya Sabha MP Ashok Mittal.
The AAP said in a statement on Thursday that Arvind Kejriwal will move to the new house in New Delhi area with his family, vacating the official residence of the Delhi Chief Minister at 6, Flagstaff Road in Civil Lines.
The AAP chief resigned as Delhi Chief Minister on September 17 after being granted bail in the liquor policy case. He said he stepped down to seek a “certificate of honesty” from city residents and intends to return to the top post once he regains their trust. Senior AAP leader Atishi, a Kejriwal loyalist, took oath as the Chief Minister of Delhi on September 21.
His resignation came ahead of the Delhi Assembly polls due in February next year.
Arvind Kejriwal has represented the New Delhi constituency as an MLA since 2013, defeating then Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit and retaining the seat in 2015 and 2020.
Arvind Kejriwal was in Tihar Jail for nearly six months in connection with alleged irregularities in the Delhi liquor policy 2021-22. He has consistently denied the allegations, accusing the BJP of a political vendetta.
